3. Peer Review Process (Single-Blind)

Acta Chemica Iasi uses a single-blind peer review process.

In this process:

  • Reviewers know the identity of the authors
  • Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers

Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts in the field.

The Editorial Board makes the final decision based on:

  • Scientific quality
  • Originality
  • Clarity
  • Relevance to the Journal scope

The peer review process ensures the integrity and scientific quality of published articles.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal template.

General formatting requirements:

  • Page format: A4
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Line spacing: single
  • Pages must be numbered
Recommended manuscript length:
  • Research articles: 15-30 pages
  • Review articles: up to 40 pages
  • Short communications: up to 10 pages

5. Structure of the Manuscript

The manuscript should include the following sections:

Authors and Affiliations

Include full author names and institutional affiliations.

Indicate the corresponding author.

Abstract

Maximum 250 words.

The abstract must clearly describe:

  • Purpose of the study
  • Methods used
  • Main results
  • Conclusions

 Some guidelines:

  • Abstracts must be able to stand alone as abstracts are often presented separately from the article.
  • Avoid references.
  • Avoid non-standard or uncommon abbreviations. If any are essential to include, ensure they are defined within your abstract at first mention.

Keywords

Provide 3-6 keywords.

Main Text

The manuscript should include:

  • Introduction
  • Experimental / Materials and Methods
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusions

Acknowledgments (optional)

Include funding sources and contributions.

References

Include only cited sources.

Supplementary Files

Authors may submit supplementary material to support and enhance their manuscript. Supplementary files may include additional spectra, tables, figures, datasets, methodological details, or other relevant content that is not essential to the main text but provides valuable additional information. All supplementary materials must be clearly labeled (e.g., Supplementary Figure S1, Supplementary Table S1) and referenced in the main manuscript. Files should be submitted in standard, widely accessible formats. Authors are responsible for ensuring that supplementary files are accurate, complete, and suitable for publication.

6. References

Citation in the text

Acta Chemica Iasi uses a numerical citation style.

References must be cited in the text using Arabic numerals in superscript, in order of appearance.

Examples:

  • Single reference:
The method has been widely applied.1
  • Multiple references:
Several studies have confirmed this behavior.2,3
  • Consecutive references:

Previous work demonstrated this effect.4-6

Each reference must be cited in the text in numerical order.

Reference Format

The reference format follows the journal template and international chemistry standards.
